A Busy Month!

20th Dec 2020

The children in Year 3 and 4 have had a really busy month! They read the story Stickman during their Forest School lessons and created their own little stick people as well as 'sense sticks'.  We had a visitor arrive in our class- non other than Bobby the Elf's little brother, Bertie!  It was his first year on the job, but he did a wonderful job adding a little bit of Christmas magic to our class! He may have had a few 'incidents' (his magical flying skills meant he landed on the floor many days) but I'm sure this was a good learning curve for him and his confidence will grow for his visit once more next year! :-)

As well as this the children made some Christingles, using oranges, sweets, candles and ribbon- each item symbolising something important about Advent.  They also learnt about the Nativity, created some Christmas decorations and performed their Christmas hymns and songs! During their last few days in school, they enjoyed watching the Pantomime 'Beauty and The Beast' as well as watching a few Christmas classics with the addition of some 'cinema treats'.  An enjoyable final month of 2020!
