🍂Autumn mandala madness! 🍁

This week, our Year 1 and 2 children headed outside for Welly Wednesday, where they created beautiful leaf mandalas using fallen autumn treasures. Before going out, we looked at some simple mandalas on the whiteboard to spark their ideas. The children explored the playground and discovered a variety of leaves—birch and alder, as well as some special autumn finds like conkers and acorns. They noticed the wide range of colours in the leaves: yellow, orange, brown, and green. We also talked about how some leaves are evergreen and stay green all year round. It was a wonderful way to combine creativity, nature, and learning about the changing seasons. 🍁✨
