Year 4 did a fantastic job taking part in the Big Spring Clean this week. Our allocated zone was the chapel car park, and the children were shocked to discover just how much dirty rubbish had been left behind. Armed with gloves, bags and lots of determination, they got stuck in straight away.
The class worked together brilliantly to collect and sort everything they found. They separated the waste into recyclable and non‑recyclable items, showing great awareness of how to look after the environment. From plastic bottles to old wrappers and even some unusual discarded items, nothing escaped their careful clean‑up!
The children absolutely loved this activity. They took real pride in helping to tidy their local area and were eager to make it a cleaner, safer space for everyone. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and positive attitude shone throughout the afternoon.
