Today our Year 1/2 Nature Rangers began creating a very special Christmas Keepsake to take home for the festive season. Using PVA glue, Epsom salts, and a simple glass jar, the children started transforming everyday materials into something truly magical. As the salt crystals sparkled, the jars began to look like they’d been dusted with winter frost straight from the North Pole!
Next week, the children will return to their creations to add a touch of natural festive decoration, foraged treasures, earthy embellishments, and seasonal elements inspired by the outdoors. Each keepsake will be completely unique, reflecting both creativity and the beauty of nature.
In between crafting, the children enjoyed time to play, explore, and warm up with hot chocolate and marshmallows, a perfect treat on such a chilly day. It was a cosy, creative, and joy-filled afternoon all round!
