We had a wonderful time celebrating Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Tuesday) in Year 1 and 2! 🥞
Yesterday, we read the story Mr Wolf’s Pancakes. This morning, we were very surprised to receive a letter from Mr Wolf himself! He shared his special pancake rhyme and told us that pancakes are his favourite food. He asked if we could make some to celebrate and of course, we were happy to help!
First, we gathered all of our equipment and ingredients. Just like Mr Wolf, we used flour, eggs, sugar and milk. We carefully mixed the dry ingredients before adding the eggs and milk to create a smooth batter. We talked about how the mixture changed as we stirred it together.
Once our pancakes were ready, everyone chose their favourite toppings. We enjoyed our delicious pancake snack with some juice- they were very yummy indeed!
