‘It’s a Gruffalo!’

Today was our first Nature Rangers session of the year! We discussed the rules and expectations of Nature Rangers then got stuck right in! We read, ‘The Gruffalo’ then went on a hunt in our very own, ‘deep, dark wood’ to find all the characters we met in the story. The children had to find a fox, owl and snake as well as The Gruffalo himself and of course the mouse! We even came across some ‘scrambled snake’ as we returned to our outdoor classroom! They worked well as a team and followed the instructions carefully. The session ended with some juice and tasty snacks which included- ‘terrible tusks’, ‘poisonous warts’, ‘orange eyes’ and ‘black tongues’. It was a big thumbs up from the Year 1 and 2’s as they ended their very first NR session of the school year. 🌳
