Kandinsky Art in Nature
During our Forest School session, we took our art lesson outdoors! Inspired by the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky, who is known for his use of bold colours, shapes, and patterns, we worked together in groups to recreate one of his famous paintings using natural materials we found in the forest.
We explored the area carefully, collecting sticks, leaves, stones, petals, pinecones, bark, and grass to use as our materials. Each group discussed Kandinsky’s style and planned how to represent his circular designs and colourful patterns using what nature provided.
Working as a team, we arranged our findings on the ground to form beautiful, nature-inspired versions of Kandinsky’s art. It was amazing to see how different each group’s interpretation was — every piece was unique and creative!
