🍁Nature inspired Art!🍂
Over the weekend, the children collected autumn treasures — leaves, conkers, pine cones, berries, and other natural finds. Today in class, they used the contents of their autumn treasure bags to create a wonderful variety of autumn nature art. Some children made transient art using natural materials arranged on their tables, while others created artwork on paper, using nature in different ways — making leaf rubbings, painting with berries, and designing pictures with leaves, twigs, and conkers. We also explored the work of Andy Goldsworthy, who uses nature to create beautiful patterns and sculptures. Like him, we enjoyed noticing the colours, shapes, and textures of autumn and learned that art can be made in many different ways — and doesn’t have to last forever to be special!
