🏆Paddy Bogan Tournament Champions🏆

22nd May 2025

It was another triumphant day for our boys and girls at the Paddy Bogan Tournament held today in St. Mary’s Park, Beragh. Following their success earlier in the week, both teams once again showcased their exceptional football skills, teamwork and sportsmanship and returned home with well-deserved silverware.

⚽️Boys' Team⚽️
The boys started the day strongly, impressing with their talent, determination and tactical play. Their early performances saw them storm into the semi-finals, where they faced a strong Beragh side. With focus and fire in their bellies, the boys rose to the challenge, working hard and supporting each other throughout to secure a well-earned victory and a place in the final.
In the final, they met Recarson – the only team to defeat them earlier in the day. However, our boys were undeterred. They knew what was needed and they gave everything. With grit, heart and outstanding sportsmanship, they turned the tables and emerged victorious, lifting the Paddy Bogan Cup in a well-deserved win.

🌸Girls' Team🌸
Not to be outdone, the girls blazed through their group stages, winning all matches and topping the table in style. They faced Tattyreagh in the semi-final, playing some of their best football of the tournament. Their teamwork, energy and focus carried them to a brilliant win and into the final against the host team, Beragh.
It was a tough, competitive final, but the girls showed real resilience and determination. Refusing to back down, they fought for every ball and played with passion right until the final whistle – and it paid off, as they secured a memorable victory and another trophy for the team.

🤩Special Thank You🤩
A huge thank you to Barry McGarvey for coaching and supporting the boys, and to Paul Shiels for guiding and encouraging the girls throughout the day. Thanks also to Mrs. McGarvey for her continued support and to all the parents who cheered from the sidelines and encouraged the children every step of the way.

We couldn’t be prouder of our pupils. Their footballing talent, teamwork and exemplary behaviour – including shaking hands after every game – made them stand out both on and off the pitch. What a week it has been! We can’t wait to see what’s next for this fantastic group of young athletes.
