Year 3 Nature Rangers had a very wet and muddy adventure during “The Wet Welly Day”! We talked together about how to stay safe and comfortable in rainy weather, such as wearing waterproofs and wellies. Even though it was pouring, we explored the forest to search for minibeasts. We carefully looked under logs and leaves and discovered worms, slugs, woodlice, beetles, centipedes and snails. After observing them, we used natural materials like sticks, leaves and bark to build cosy little houses to keep them safe. It was a fun and exciting day, and we learned that nature can be enjoyed in all kinds of weather!
