Year 4 had a fantastic day today on their school trip to Florence Court where they took part in a Nature Safari. The children enjoyed a range of outdoor activities throughout the day including learning about the different parts of a plant, searching for red squirrels, listening carefully to the sounds of nature and taking part in a mini beast hunt. They discovered lots of interesting and exciting bugs which they examined closely using magnifying glasses.
We also discussed how all of our food comes from plants and explored what plants need in order to survive and grow. After a busy morning of learning and exploring, the children enjoyed their lunch together before finishing the day with lots of fun in the play park.
Everyone had a wonderful day and it was very well deserved after celebrating their Holy Communion at the weekend!
