For the first week of our new Nature Rangers session after Hallowe'en, we explored woodland food chains —learning about producers, consumers, energy flow and how most chains begin with a green plant 🌱. Following discussion time, the children worked in groups to create their own food chains, using the picture cards provided 🦊🐛🌿. Each group built food chains with three and four components. 🔗. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed some free exploration time. 🎉 We ended the session by toasting marshmallows over the fire 🔥 and making s’mores 😋.
