Year 4 Nature Rangers Week Five 🍎
16th Oct 2025
During our Nature Rangers session, Year 4 celebrated National Apple Week with a fun and creative outdoor activity. The children used halved apples to make pumpkin prints, dipping them in orange paint to stamp out the shapes before decorating their pictures with spooky faces and autumn designs.
As well as getting creative, the children also learned lots of interesting facts about apples — including that Armagh produces the most apples in Northern Ireland! We talked about how apples grow, different varieties, and why they’re such an important local fruit.
